Quality Biomedical Appoints Veteran Executive, Jack Baikie, Former Chief Procurement Officer of Apria, to its Advisory Board
BOULDER, CO. – April 12, 2022: Quality Biomedical, the leading biomedical service provider to the post-acute and HME markets, today announced the appointment to their Advisory Board of Jack Baikie, a veteran supply chain expert and the former Chief Procurement Officer at Apria Healthcare.
Mr. Baikie has held several executive procurement and supply chain roles in companies such as Compaq Computer (subsequently acquired by Hewlett Packard), Gateway Computer, Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems and Apria Healthcare. He retired from Apria this year as the Chief Procurement Officer & Senior Vice President Supply Chain. His vast experience in healthcare supply chain — especially related to respiratory equipment — will be significant to Quality Biomedical’s core business.
Apria Healthcare, recently acquired by Owens and Minor, is one of the largest Home Medical Equipment companies in the US with service locations around the country. Mr. Baikie was responsible for ensuring the entire organization was equipped with sufficient assets to fulfill its diverse clinical roles and that all assets were cost-effectively serviced and maintained to meet all regulatory standards.
“Our Advisory Board is an important element of our company, providing advice and guidance to our Board and management team,” said PK Bala, CEO of Quality Biomedical. “Jack is an ideal candidate given his extensive knowledge of supply chain issues across a broad spectrum of industries and particularly his 12 years at Apria Healthcare. We are confident his wealth of knowledge and experience in the home medical equipment industry will be invaluable to us.”
“I am very honored to be asked to serve on Quality Biomedical’s Advisory Board,” said Jack Baikie. “As a senior executive in the home healthcare industry, I observed the significant differentiation in service and supply chain solutions that Quality Biomedical has developed and deployed and I am very excited to play a part in helping them maintain their impressive growth trajectory.”
Founded in 2003 and under new management since September 2015, Quality Biomedical has become the only service organization of its kind serving customers in every corner of the USA, with an emphasis on respiratory and infusion medical equipment. Learn more at www.QualityBiomedical.com.
